Physical DescriptionColorless non-lead glass, white, yellow-ochre enamels; mold-blown blank, bird-shaped mask applied, layer of white enamel (possibly air-brushed), layer of yellow-ochre enamel applied, template removed, fine layer of yellow-ochre added again, details inscribed through unfired enamel, kiln-fired. Tall straight-sided narrow cylinder, with fire-polished lipless rim; enameled decoration extends from just below rim to just above base, consists of overall thin layers of white and yellow-ochre with stenciled design of large vertical bird with plumed head, outstretched wings, extended legs, inscribed linear details; flat base, no pontil; inscribed in script on base: "Waylande/Gregory".
