Physical DescriptionColorless non-lead glass with laminated opaque section of aqua, yellow, blue and red; kiln fused plate glass, flat glass cut and recessed into cast cavity. Wide, flat, horizontal construction with overall irregular faceted surface; piece is supported by two pairs of central layered columns that extend above and below horizontal side sections that project at right angles with center segment separating columns; horizontal elements form shape of long rectangle with irregular lower edge; only one side is decorated; upper edge and side with inset band of opaque glass in interlocking aqua and yellow triangles edged in black; one side section with recessed circle near lower edge decorated with inset "x" of layered and fused yellow and blue; central section decorated with linear construction of crossed blue and red laminated bars that project into spaces between columns; second extending section has irregular lower edge trimmed with lengths of red and yellow lamination that extend to part of mid-section lower edge; piece rests on four edges of central columns; inscribed "Langley 1986".Provenance
