Physical DescriptionOpaque white and transparent bright red non-lead glasses; blown, overlaid, relief-carved. Ovoid forms; red overlay on white; waisted necks with flared rims, with cut chamfers, wide bands of red around the rims; the rounded sides with all-over relief-cut decoration of butterflies hovering over lotus flowers and foliage (the designs the same, but reversed, on the two vases); disk feet, rimmed in red; polished flat foot rims, with recessed disks in the centers; paper stickers printed "MADE IN / CHINA"; two paper stickers on the top rim of each vase, one inscribed in blue ballpoint "532", the other in red felt-tip "TIBG".Provenance
