Physical DescriptionColorless, red non-lead glasses; blown, cased, cut, engraved. Colorless glass with a thin layer of ruby, conical bowl, cut in vertical panels with a rectangular panel on one side with a view of a domed, winged classical building labeled "Das Capitol zu Washington"; the other side has a circular porthole cut through the red glass to colorless, applied stem with solid knop and circular foot, stem and foot cut in panels, foot petaled and with engraved scrolls, cut with radiating lines underneath. Lid has pointed hollow knop, and is cut in panels and engraved with scrolls to match.
