Physical DescriptionColorless non-lead glass; blown, cut, engraved. Oval, shell- shaped bowl, with curved, cut, shell-shaped handle, decorated with minutely engraved scenes and scrolls; cut tear-drop panels on the front, with scenes, scrolls, and in the center a pine tree with inscription "Aucun temps = nelechange"; rounded, cut panels on the sides, with engraved scrollwork panels, and two castles on islands; small cut panels at the base of the bowl; capstan and merese above an inverted baluster stem with cut ovals, drapery panels, and panels at the base, with another capstan element at the bottom; sloping foot with cut, scalloped rim; polished ovals and rays in a ring on the underside of the foot; engraved signature "M/N" in ligature in the center.Provenance
