Physical DescriptionRuby over colorless, lead glasses; blown, cased, cut, gilt. (a) Perfume decanter: bulbous body with tall slender neck; gilt bands; cut with two rows of eight opposing arches through gold ruby to clear; cut trefoils and quatrefoils between arches; gilt swags and ornaments around body; octagonal base with ground and polished pontil mark. (b) Inverted pear-shaped, cut through ruby to clear in four vertical panels, showing elongated air bubble inside; gilt decoration around body; ground neck.
