Physical DescriptionDeep purple translucent; white opaque glasses; blank formed from slices of purple and white canes with spiral pattern, cast as disk; surface of disk ribbed by tooling or pressing; blank then sagged over former mold; rim and interior finished by grinding and polishing. Bowl: fairly deep. Rim plain; wall descends almost vertically, then curves in; parts of seven vertical ribs. Composite mosaic pattern formed by slices of canes with purple matrix and white spiral.Provenance
