Physical DescriptionA) Translucent amethyst and yellow-green matrices with central opaque red, a concentric circle of contrasting dots surrounds this center, heavy dark weathering crust is chipped away to reveal highly iridescent surface; millefiori or mosaic glass technique and lathe-cut. Short cylindrical shape with upper section cut back to fit simple cylindrical cover with a lathe-cut circle decorating the top, cover cast separately and lathe-cut on interior. B) Translucent amethyst matrix with irregular chips of opaque white glass, weathering product on exterior has fallen away to reveal highly iridescent surface. Technique as above; a groove and slight flair elaborate the body just below the lip ridges.Provenance
