Physical DescriptionTransparent pale aqua and colorless non-lead glasses, silver leaf; blown roundel placed in mold and covered with crushed glass, fired, then fused with silver foil, edge cut with diamond saw, silver leaf abraded and sandblasted, entire form then slumped over a mold (see diagram in object file). Low thick circular platter with shallow conical center cavity; top rim is covered with overlapping sections of silver leaf with three different treatments: the outermost edge has turned a silver-amber color, abrading has left most of remaining leaf very pale to create a background for shiny perpendicular sections, somewhat regularly spaced and extending from edge towards center; thick solid sides have been sawn leaving vertical ridges except for short unsawn sections at the four quadrants; narrow circular base ground and polished flat; exterior surface has overall mold impressions; inscribed on base: "Yoko K."Provenance
