Physical DescriptionColorless non-lead glass; gold decoration; brass plated metal; black plastic; yellow metal; mold-blown by machine, screen printed; a) conical shaped carafe; flared rim, machine finished edge and pinched lip; short cylindrical neck with metal band around it; handle opposite lip, is upside down "L" shape, attached to neck by metal band; body of carafe tapered out to bottom, bottom rounded in to base, gold colored four pointed stars and elongated diamonds printed around circumference of body, design break below handle, "8/6/4" and "PYREX®/MADE IN U.S.A." printed onto body to left of handle; flat circular base; b) circular plastic cover; cylindrical knob with concave top, upper half of knob ribbed, sides tapered out to cover; center of cover yellow metal and is flared up toward base of knob; outer edge of cover flat; rim turned up; cylindrical insert on underside of cover, has three raised bumps on exterior; notch in one side on cover and insert.
