Physical DescriptionColorless non-lead glass; gold decoration, brass plated metal; black plastic; mold-blown by machine, screen printed; a) conical shaped carafe; machine finished rim with pinched lip; rim tapered in to neck; short cylindrical neck with metal band around it; handle opposite pinched lip, attached to neck by metal band, is a rough upside down "L" shape, end is turned in; carafe body tapered out to bottom, bottom rounded in to base, alternating gold colored diamonds and stars printed around circumference of body, design break under handle, "PYREX®/MADE IN U.S.A." printed near bottom of carafe to left of handle, "7-149" written in black marker on side of carafe to right of handle; flat circular base, "4702" written in faded marker on base; b) cylindrical cover; cylindrical knob, top of knob pressed in, sides ribbed, are slightly tapered out, bottom of knob flared out into cover; rim of cover raised with straight sides, rounded notch taken out of one side; cylindrical insert on underside of cover, trapezoidal notch taken out on side under rim notch, four equally spaced raised bumps on insert exterior; underside of cover depressed where knob is on top.Provenance
