Physical DescriptionColorless non-lead glass, borosilicate; mold-blown by machine, acid-etched, pressed, ground; a) globular shape; mouth rounded in, rim flared out, rim machine finished; bottom of body rounded in, green arrow and green PYREX trademark stamped on lower part of body (trademark opposite arrow) ; base flat, outer 2cm of base acid-etched and perforated with equally spaced slits, inner area plain and slightly pressed in, old catalog number "449.82a" written in black ink on center of base; b) cylindrical shape; shallow dish; flat rim, old catalog number "449.82b" written in black ink on rim, "PYREX" and two sets of "2 1" pressed into rim; body has straight sides; base flat, center of base pressed down to form well, well has a small hole in the center of its bottom, there is a 1cm acid-etched ring on base top around well, etched area has 15 equally spaced rounded indentations; bottom of base has three equally spaced raised oblong shaped bumps around well; bottom of well ground and has notch.
