Physical DescriptionPaperweight with Butterfly. Colorless, polychrome lead glass; paperweight, lampworked, millefiori, cut. Domed, circular form, enclosing a butterfly with brilliantly-colored wings, the top, leading wings red, white and orange, the lower wings blue, green, yellow, and red, both backed with opaque white; the amethyst body enclosing a double-series filigree twist; the head and antennae black, the eyes light blue; encircled by a ring of millefiori canes, alternately green or white predominantly; star-cut base; paper label, inscribed "20" in ink.
