Physical DescriptionPair of Decanters with stoppers. Colorless lead glass; blown, cut. (a) Flattened ovoid body, with long tapering neck and flat rim; trumpet-shaped foot; the rim polished; the neck and shoulders with five rings of cut strawberry diamonds; the sides with relief-cut crowns alternating with fans of stylized feathers, in rectangular panels; ring of strawberry diamonds and three mitre cuts at the foot; the foot with panels of mitre cuts; petal-cut foot rim. (b) Bulbous, solid finial, with relief-cut crowns (three) on the sides; ball finial; band of small strawberry diamonds below the crowns; waisted stem; tapered, cylindrical shank.
