Physical DescriptionVarious combinations of opaque colors, including white, red, dark blue, light blue, and yellow (see individual descriptions) glass; preformed rods and canes, some fused in bars, cut and ground. Nine inlays (a-i) mounted in three irregular vertical rows on Plexiglas stand (numbers run from top to bottom of vertical rows, beginning at top of left row and ending at bottom of right row): (a) red strip; (b) slice of dark blue bar with square section, decorated with circular cane in form of rosette with yellow center and white petals in dark blue matrix; (c) slice of white bar with rectangular section, decorated with one-half of head of bird, possibly owl, with dark blue outline and details, and dark blue and yellow eye; (d) slice of bar with rectangular cross section, decorated with horizontal white zigzag on dark blue background; (e) slice of white bar with square cross section (apparently constructed from two rectangular bars with half-faces), decorated with face of goddess Hathor, with features delineated in dark blue, mouth filled with red, and details of hair and fillet in dark blue, light blue, and yellow; (f) red and white strip; (g) wing from disk or scarab, with feathers outlined in dark blue and filled with white and yellow, in white matrix; (h) strip of red over white, perhaps with trace of narrow white band over red; (i) slice of bar with square cross section composed of flat horizontal bands of yellow, white, red and dark blue.
