Physical DescriptionWhite, yellow, red, and black, all opaque; light blue translucent; scrambled dark blue, white, and red, all opaque glasses; monochrome rods assembled in groups and fused, then drawn, and slices; cane slices then arranged on scrambled backing as follows, and fused: two (or more) canes, each showing prisoner bound to column, placed side by side and surrounded by three rows of monochrome and polychrome strips which together make continuous border. Plaque: rectangular. Upper surface decorated with panel showing prisoners on white background: at right end, male prisoner kneeling to right, with hands and feet tied to lower part of column; to left, part of second prisoner kneeling to left, with hands and feet tied to lower part of same column; right prisoner has red body, with black hair, eye, and beard; he wears blue loincloth and is tied with black thongs; left prisoner has black body, blue loincloth, and red thongs. Column is blue, with shallow black and red capital. Border consists of continuous yellow strip, inside strip with red and white rosettes alternating with groups of red and white stripes, all on black background, inside continuous yellow strip.Provenance
