Physical DescriptionCovered Goblet. Colorless non-lead glass; blown, cut, engraved, gilt. (a) Thistle shape bowl; gilt rim, with a band of small cut oval facets below, a crowned monogram "ECR" on the front, within a scrollwork cartouche, and flanked by swags of foliage; band of narrow oval facets at the base of the bowl; gilt stem; domed foot with a band of narrow oval facets on the upper side; rough pontil mark. (b) Dome shape with gilt folded rim; band of tiny cut circular facets around the shoulder; band of narrow oval facets at top, below a finial composed of a gilt flattened knop, and a facet-cut and gilt acorn knop; rough pontil mark.
