Physical DescriptionColorless non-lead glass; flat (window) glass, painted and gilt. Flat, rectangular sheet, painted on the reverse side with a depiction of Christ carrying the Cross, the halloed figure of Christ robed in dark blue, the Cross gilt; Mary, behind, in red and blue; soldiers, some mounted on horses, in dark brown and gilt; one mounted soldier in armor, holding a banner; a castellated city in the distance, with mountains behind; the scene with black lines, as if a print, filled in with color; in a modern rubbed gilt frame within a velvet-covered flat frame with flat wood framing.Provenance
