Physical DescriptionFavrile “Agate” Vase with Bronze Mount. Opaque red-brown and amber glass with cream trailing, bronze; blown, iridized. Ovoid shape with rounded base; flared, fire-polished rim tapers to short neck sloping to swollen ovoid body with rounded base; neck and shoulder have been trailed with cream color which has been pulled up into festoons on neck and into large hooks extending over shoulder and upper half of body; fire-petaled decoration in cream has been pulled up from base; narrow base ground and polished flat; vase is cradled within tri-part metal stand comprised of three supporting prongs with curled tips attached to a center horizontal ring, then extending to form three legs ending in paw feet.
