Physical DescriptionColorless glass, appearing translucent white to pale gray; blown, tooled, sandblasted. Sculpture: hollow, cylindrical; one piece, but with the appearance of a covered vessel. Upper surface in shape of low, irregular dome with small circular hole near center and with edge tooled into irregular hollow flange which overhangs wall; side tapers before descending almost vertically and curving in at bottom; lower surface convex, again with irregular shape. All surfaces sandblasted, with exception of small areas on edge of upper surface; upper and lower surfaces sandblasted with network of small square or diamond-shaped meshes, often in relief; in one segment of upper surface, interiors of some meshes have been partly or wholly removed, occasionally with the outlines themselves.Provenance
