Glass was regularly used to make dining and serving vessels. This bottle was used to serve wine.

Physical DescriptionTransparent pale green glass with few bubbles; blown, applied and cut on wheel. Bottle with globular body and slender neck; rim ground flat; tall slender neck which splays at bottom and is slightly sunken; globular body, flattened at bottom, applied solid footring; no pontil mark. Broad flat collar applied to neck at midpoint; two opposed broad loop handles attached to neck and underside of collar and to shoulder, each having three ribs, which are drawn out and separated on shoulder. Ornament cut on wheel: immediately below rim, one horizontal line; on body below handles, one horizontal line above band of six horizontal lines.
