Physical DescriptionColorless and opaque turquoise blue lead glasses, blown, applied, engraved; silver plated stamped metal. Cream jug: globular body, short flared neck, small pinched pouring spout; neck with wide band of engraved ivy, flanked by pairs of engraved horizontal lines; the body with seven small turquoise blue beads applied on the sides, with engraved palmettes and scroll work around the beads, and with pendant ivy between, five thin horizontal lines below; applied inverted ribbed handle; applied thick disk foot; polished pontil mark. Sugar bowl, globular body, short, flared neck; engraved ivy border on the neck; eight tiny opaque turquoise blue beads applied in the sides, with decorative engraved scroll work and palmettes; applied disk foot; polished pontil mark. Frame, with flat, shaped plate, two ends rounded, sides with rounded and pointed projections; a loop handle across the center, ending in split terminals and crescent plates; two circular holders, one on either end, on four curving legs; circular holder and handle attached through the plate, held on with wing nuts (10), a loop nut, and a circular nut; four curved, projecting feet, with molded shells; five impressed pseudo-hallmarks in the top of the plate, alongside on handle terminal; marks largely indecipherable, except for a maker's mark, "MP" in an oval, and another inscribed "PRIME" flanked by scrolls, in an oval.
