Physical DescriptionColorless non-lead glass; blown, enameled, gilded. (a) Hemispherical shape, with straight rim and rounded base; the sides with enameled and gilded decoration: a border of powder blue linked ovals against a gilded background; a wide band of turquoise blue and gilded formal scrollwork below; disk foot with polished pontil mark, inscribed "I.P.I." in red enamel script in the center of the foot; (b) domed shape with angular rim and tapered inset brim; decorated with a turquoise, powder blue, and gilded band related to that on (a); gilded zig-zag border on the rim; short gilded finial with flattened ball knop and ground flat tip.Provenance
