Physical DescriptionTwo Diatreta Vases. Colorless lead glass; cast in diatreta technique. Circular upper rim; inverted dome-shape body; conical foot; diatreta decoration consists of a frieze of children playing atop a series of swags which nest on a series of connected circles giving a chain-like appearance; satin finish. (a) Shorter vase, which has "F Carder / 1958" wheel-engraved on base of foot; (b) Taller vase, which has "F Carder / 1959" wheel-engraved on base of foot.
