Physical DescriptionColorless lead glass; blown, cut; enameled, stamped, encrusted metal foil. Ovoid bowl, with cut plain rim; wide panel on the side with four panels of sharp diamonds alternating with panels of fluting, each with two ribs notched, a rectangular panel on the front with cut oval convex pad encasing an enameled, stamped silver foil (platinum ?) medal of the Legion of Honor, with five white arms backed by a green foliate wreath, with a circular medallion in the center, the center gold, with stamped male head facing sinister, on a rayed background; encircled by a blue band inscribed in gold "HENRI IV ROI DE FRANCE ET DE NAV."; suspended from a silver crown and red ribbon; base of the bowl panel-cut; merese above a spreading panel-cut stem and cut square foot with cut corners; cut star on the undersides.Provenance
