Interpretive Notes
This medallion was made to adorn perfume bottle boxes for the perfumery Fioret. It was originally attached to a cord and tassel.
Physical DescriptionMedallion, "Fioret - 4, Chose promise (Promises are meant to be kept)". Colorless glass, brown patina; mold-pressed, acid-etched, applied patina. Circular medallion pierced with three holes to receive cords and a tassel; on the obverse a nude girl, in relief, kneeling and turned to the right, in a classicistic style, holding in her left hand a bunch of flowers and leaves, more floral and leaf patterns in the upper left of the medallion.
