Physical DescriptionColorless lead glass, white sulphide; encased, cut, molded sulphide, cast gilt metal mount. Flat, oval shape, with polished, slightly convex oval panel on the obverse; petal- shaped cut rim; cut rays on the back, alternately rounded and finely ribbed; enclosing a molded bust-length portrait of a child, facing sinister; inscribed "Brachard [?] F 1821" in script; flat on the reverse; cast gilt metal mount at top, formed of overlapping leaves with pendant flowers; turned post with band of beading, turned bulbous top, pierced, with a loose wire ring for hanging.
