Physical DescriptionColorless, with matte gold, gold, matte silver, silver, yellowish silver, red, deep blue, and deep green paint; glass, acrylic paint, wood; painted, with hard edges made by masking; framed. Panel in frame. Panel: rectangular. Painted with large geometric motif, at center, and four smaller geometric motifs, near corners, on background divided horizontally into two equal parts that are colored matte silver above and matte gold below. Central motif consists of silver square with, above and below, three tall isosceles triangles of equal size, but with silver central triangle obscuring small parts of green flanking triangles, and, at each side, three smaller isosceles triangles of equal size, but with blue central triangle obscuring small parts of red flanking triangles. Motifs at top left and bottom right corners are almost identical: vertical rectangles divided diagonally into four triangles, those in top left motif are red above and below, and blue at sides, while those in bottom right motif are blue above and below, and red at sides. Similarly, motifs at bottom left and top right are almost identical: trapezoids with parallel sides parallel to sides of panel, longer of these being on left, divided into five isosceles triangles of equal size, longer parallel side providing base lines for three of them; in bottom left motif, triangles with base lines on longer parallel side are gold and others are blue, while in top right motif are blue and others are gold. Between bottom of central motif and bottom of bottom right motif, two small green lines, both bent. Frame: rectangular, with simple convex molding; front and sides gilded and back covered with brown paper; also on back, triangular metal loop for suspension.
