Physical DescriptionClear glass with slight pink tinge, bubbles and impurities; free-blown and enameled. Cylindrical slender body with applied high pedestal foot having an underfolded rim, the base of the beaker being pushed up and having a rough pontil mark; the body is divided into four equal sections separated from each other by a red and a yellow line accompanied by two wavy white lines; on the obverse, a playing card with a jack of swords in multi- colored enamel against a white background, with his hat in his right hand; above him a branch with leaves and an inscription: "Der Bub"; below the Jack: "Bonjour Monsieur seit mir wilkome, Wo seit ihr gewest So lange Zeit, glaub dasz ihr habt ein weib genome, Weil ihr So gar Hoffartig Seyt." (Good morning, sir. Be welcome, where have you been for such a long time? I believe you have taken a wife because you are so conceited.); on the reverse four numbers in the four sections, starting at top: "1", "2", "3", "4"; joint between beaker and foot is marked by a dotted white line.
