Physical DescriptionTransparent extremely bubbly pale greenish glass with many impurities; free-blown and enameled. Beaker slightly increasing in diameter towards upper part, with pushed up base having rough pontil mark, and applied to high pedestal foot with flaring underfolded rim; on the obverse, in multicolored enamel a couple standing upright, the man clad in yellow, blue and brown, his wife in white and red, the man holding a stemmed and knopped goblet in his left hand, the woman holding a flower in her right hand; both are flanking a conical pedestal-like yellow object with three leg-like parts coming to a point at the bottom; on it a blue handled vase; both man and wife stand on a green grass strip with tufts; above is the date: "1662"; on the reverse: "Schones Lieb von Hertzen Ich Dich mein, Dasz weisz nur gott und ich allein" (My dear love I like you from my heart, this knows only God and I); below the frieze a yellow and a red line as well as a white dotted line marking the joint between foot to beaker; below rim a triple line in red, yellow and red accompanied by a white U-shaped line and a row of white dots; on the base an old catalogue number in red: "82-554".
