Physical DescriptionClear very bubbly and slightly cloudy relatively light glass with dark tinge; free-blown, enameled and gilded. Almost cylindrical, at top slightly tapering body with very high pushed up base having rough pontil mark and applied foot ring; enamel decoration: the double headed Empire eagle in dark purple and white with yellow halos and blue orb of state and yellow cross, on the wings the multicolored coats-of-arms of the parts of the Holy Roman Empire; on the edge of the wings blue and yellow flaming symbols, on the reverse, three vertically oriented golden diamond stars accompanied by white scroll motifs and red beads in between (1614" below the rim a plain gold band framed by two rows of white beads, underneath: "Das Heilig Romische Reich sampt seinen Gliedern und Gliedmassen", dash border on the foot ring.Provenance
