Physical DescriptionCovered Compote. Colorless and transparent blue glass; cased, blown, hot-worked, applied, cut. (a) Compote with slightly flared rim with scalloped edge, faceted double-ball knopped (hourglass) stem with airtrap inclusion, and hexagonal foot. Bowl of compote cased in blue glass and decorated with three bands of cut ovals. Protruding lip on interior of bowl onto which the cover sets. (b) Dome-shaped cover cased in blue glass and decorated with two rows of cut ovals. Applied spherical top decorated with band of cut ovals and cut starburst on top; waisted panel-cut stem.
