Physical DescriptionClear heavy glass with many minute bubbles and impurities and greenish tinge; free-blown, enameled and gilded. Cylindrical body with pushed up base having rough pontil mark, applied foot ring; enamel decoration: double headed Empire eagle in black and white with yellow ring halos and blue orb of state surmounted by the yellow cross and scepter, on the wings the multicolored coats of arms of the parts of the Holy Roman Empire, at the ends of the wings two flaming symbols; on the reverse the double coats of arms of the families Forbus and von Besserer (three bears heads on white background, with yellow crescent; three yellow flask-like objects against a red-brown background), below: "1650", above: "A.F.M.D." below rim a narrow gilded band (partly rubbed off) accompanied by three rows of white and blue beads, white dashes on the foot ring.Provenance
