Physical DescriptionFragment of a Floral Plaque. Translucent greyish medium blue matrix with assorted canes of opaque red, opaque yellow, opaque white, translucent green, translucent yellow-green and translucent pale amethyst glass; mosaic glass or millefiori technique. Lower right-hand corner of a plaque similar to 51.1.232 F, irregular rounded edge on two sides, back retains rectangular strips of turbid green with strips of white, red and yellow glass as backing. Design segment of a large white and red flower, below the standard long yellow stalk with opposing leaves of blue-green to and green bottom divided by a yellow line, below this stem is an irregular series of white or light yellow chips, perhaps a cone-like element, and a long rounded green leaf cased with yellow, along the side are four widely spaced small white flowers with red dot centers, above, near break, a round yellow fruit with a cross in a white center.Provenance
