Physical DescriptionFragment of Floral Plaque. Translucent greyish medium blue glass matrix backed with turbid yellow-green with red glass lines, canes of translucent green, translucent yellow-green, opaque yellow, opaque red and opaque white; mosaic glass or millefiori technique. Fragment is broken on all sides and retains a stylized rosette, the center being a yellow cross with a split rounded end cased in white and red, below a small star-like flower with red dots and a yellow center and six pointed leaves; above the stylized rosette are two circular fruits or elements, white centers cased with yellow and yellow-green respectively, one with traces of red in the center, next to these four smaller elements is a larger floral unit which appears to imitate the split leaf format of the smaller stylized rosette, however the petals are separated by a lozenge-shaped green leaf cased with yellow-green and the petals are tipped with red but have a turbid white as well as a bright white area on the surface.Provenance
