Physical DescriptionCovered Roemer. Colorless glass; blown, hot-worked, applied, engraved. (a) Vessel with globular body, open roughly cylindrical stem with applied wavy band just below body and nine applied raspberry prunts; applied circular foot with folded outside edge. Body of vessel decorated with engravings consisting of a crown set atop scrollwork framed in two floral sprays, one starburst motif, and two vertical floral sprays, one of which is roses. Foot decorated with similarly-engraved floral sprays. (b) Matching cover with three engraved floral sprays, applied wavy band, four applied raspberry prunts, two flattened mereses, and two-tiered solid ball knop.
