Physical DescriptionColorless with green fracture, over transparent deep blue glasses, gold, paint or enamel; blown, gilded (details scratched with stylus) and painted. Cup(?): fragment from vertical wall. Overlay extends over most of fragment, but has horizontal, rounded edge near highest point. Decoration consists of gilded head and shoulders of young male, shown frontally with head turned slightly to viewer's left; he wears tunic and pallium; he is framed by painted "pediment" comprising two groups of lines which converge above his head; each group has yellow line flanked by two narrower ivory-colored lines; uppermost part of "pediment" projects above protective overlay.Provenance
