Physical DescriptionColorless non-lead glass; blown, cut, engraved. (a) (Goblet bowl) Large, round-funnel form, with slightly flared rim; cut and engraved decoration: a matte border with relief-carved, polished diamonds and rectangles, alternating with sets of fire polished small circular facets; the sides with four elaborately engraved, large, crowned shields, within elaborate scroll-work cartouches, flanked by cornucopias of fruit and foliage, and swags of fruit and foliage; within the shields are: "FHR", "KMHR", and "HFHR"; large relief-carved stylized leaves at the base of the bowl, with cut, rounded panels above; cut groove below, bounded by cut ropework bands; below the bowl, a heavy flattened disk, with faceted rim, and a thick cylindrical shank with cut threading on the sides (which screws into the hollow top knop on (b). (b) (Stem and foot) Hollow, large ball knop on top, the exterior covered with diamond facets; open at the top; cut threading on the interior, to receive the threaded shank on (a); the knop mounted on a thick disk merese with faceted rim, and a hollow inverted baluster with a double band of pentagonal facets at the top, and a band of relief-cut stylized foliage at the middle, with two bands of cut ropework below; thick disk merese with faceted rim at the base of the stem, on a large, sloping, circular foot with a wreath of relief-carved stylized foliage, rounded cut panels, and a ropework band; polished pontil mark.
