Physical DescriptionTransparent yellowish green glass; blown, scratch-engraved. Fragment of cylindrical cup, with about 12 percent of rim. Rim plain, with rounded lip; wall almost vertical, but with slightly convex profile and curving in at bottom. Wall is decorated with one narrow band and one broad horizontal band, with pairs of horizontal lines above, between, and beneath them. Upper, narrow band appears to contain groups of vertical lines. Lower, broad band (W. 3.5 cm) contains continuous series of columns and semicircular arches, all with double outlines; each bay is divided, at center, by pair of vertical lines, which are flanked by groups of three transverse lines that create featherlike effect.Provenance
