Physical DescriptionCanes of translucent deep blue glass with scale patterns of opaque brick-red and opaque yellow, some bands of opaque white glass, bubbly, pitted, dull surface; mosaic glass technique, fragments still adhere to thick plaster setting bed section of green and yellow mosaic glass revetment sticking out of plaster backing. Multiple fragments form a fish; part of head, dorsal fin, pelvic fin, anal fin are missing, blue eye surrounded with yellow and wide red band appears to have been cut and inlaid after scale pattern was fused in place, back highlighted in blue, gill delineated in red, belly in white, scale pattern over entire body, fins and tail delineated with alternating stripes of blue, yellow and red.
