Physical DescriptionFragment of Beaker. Almost colorless, with grayish tinge; many small bubbles; decorated in gold, red, and blue. Blown; gilded, enameled. Fragment of beaker. Wall (Th. 0.1 cm) tapers, with very slightly concave profile. Exterior is decorated with parts of two horizontal registers. At top of fragment, band of gilded neskhi inscription on blue background enclosed at bottom by gilded border with red outlines. Below inscription, broad register (W. more than 5.1 cm) containing three horizontal rows of gilded fish swimming toward viewer’s left; each fish has two pectoral fins, dorsal fin, caudal fin, and forked tail; outline and some details, such as gills, lateral line, and some scales, are drawn in red.
