Physical DescriptionColorless (purple tint) non-lead glass; blown, cut, engraved; sheet-metal foot. Tapered, straight-sided bowl, with flared, rounded base, constricted below; the sides of the bowl with engraved continuous stag- and boar-hunting scene, inscribed above "ViVat Jager und Jagers genossen, alle windbeutel aus geschlossen"; on the front, a scrolled oval panel with relief- carved coat of arms, with a boar on the shield and as a crest, inscribed above "George Wilhelm Von: Schweinichen" and "Anno 1747" below; cut flutes and pointed and rounded scribed arches at the base of the bowl; stem with faceted disk above a faceted and flut-cut hollow inverted baluster stem; square, sloping gilt-metal foot with chased leaves and scrolls around the rim; the underside of the foot inscribed in dark red paint "5294-122" and in pencil "N808"; another inscription scratched off.
