Physical DescriptionVery pale yellowish green transparent glass; blown (two gathers), applied. Goblet with tall, narrow bowl, short stem, and disk-shaped foot. Wall tapers and curves in at bottom; stem consists of solid knop; base, which was made from separate gather, is flat, with rounded edge and slightly recessed underside; pontil mark. Wall decorated with broad continuous band of snake-thread ornament, below continuous (?) horizontal trail; ornament consists of three groups of sinuous, asymmetrical trails, some of which terminate in spirals and others in roughly triangular, sometimes bifurcated “leaves”; all trails were tooled to flatten them and produce a corrugated effect of transverse ridges and depressions.
