Physical DescriptionColorless non-lead glass; blown, cut, engraved. Tapered, straight-sided, cylindrical shape; polished rim and cut taper on the inner rim; bands of polished stylized flowers at the rim and base; four oval frames on the side, formed as rings of polished facets, each bearing a depiction of one of the Four Seasons: Spring, a cherub with billowing cape, carrying a spray of foliage and a basket of flowers; Summer, with a cherub holding a sickle in one hand, a shock of grain in the other, leaping over a field of grain; Fall, a bacchante holding a goblet in one hand, grapes in the other; Winter, a cherub holding a barren branch; elaborately engraved floral and fruit devices between the panels; polished flat bottom, with polished concave pontil mark at the center.
