Physical DescriptionColorless lead glass; blown, cut; enclosing an enameled gold foil inclusion. Cylindrical shape with cut slanting ribs, triangular diamond-cut, diamond-shaped panel at back and oval panel at front enclosing a representation of the medal of the Legion of Honor: red and gold ribbon suspending a crowned, five-armed white cross, at center a male portrait in gold surrounded by gold inscription "HENRY IV ROI DE FRANC ET DE NAVARRE" against blue, with gold and green wreath behind cross; band of cross-cut diamond-shaped panels alternating with rounded diamond-shaped panels at lower rim; cut radial ribbing on underside of base.
