Physical DescriptionColorless, opaque white, translucent dark blue, green, pink non- lead glass; blown, cut, gilt, cemented glass "beads", overlay. Tapered, straight-sided, cylindrical bowl, of dark blue overlay, on opaque white, on colorless; cut, gilt rim; cut arcs creating rounded panels with straight sides, with gilt bands along the cuts, with cut circular and oval panels, the circular panels either with eight pink beads arranged in a ring around a larger gilt bead, or a single green bead, fused to the surface; the oval panels with gilt decoration, and ringed with gilt pink beads cemented to the surface; the blue ground decorated in an all-over pattern of fine gilt foliage and scrolls; the base of the bowl with double bulge; three-ring annulated knop stem; disk foot with small dome in the center, with cut oval facets on the dome, with gilt stylized flowers, and fused green or pink beads at the centers; cut broad oval panels on the foot, with gilt formal decorations, each with a pink or green bead fused to the centers; the blue ground decorated with an all-over pattern of gilt fine foliage and scrolls; cut oval facets on the foot rim; cut radial grooves, in pairs, on the underside of the foot; polished concave pontil mark in the center.Provenance
