Physical DescriptionFlussglas Vase. Opaque white glass, white marble, ormolu; blown, assembled. The vase rests on a low gilt-ormolu base that is decorated with a wreath of c-shaped ornaments. A line of ormolu pearls separates the rim, which illustrates a very fine trellis-pattern. The vase is made of white Flussglas and has the form of a round-bodied base, rising to a narrow waist and ending in a high-tapered cone. The bases of ormolu handles are designed as female masks that are screwed to the side of the vase, and end in volutes that are mounted to the trellis patterned ring at the top of the vase.
