Physical DescriptionTransparent pale green glass; blown, wheel-cut and ground. Floor of shallow dish; outside wheel-cut with figured scene, bordered at top by two horizontal lines separated by row of circles, each containing lozenge divided by cross into four smaller lozenges; below this, three groups of letters or numbers [!III VIIII III!!]; two figures survive; both have long tunics; (a) on left, faces right, stooping slightly with left arm raised, spindle in left hand, and mass of wool in left hand; (b) faces right looking upward.
