Physical DescriptionColorless non-lead glass; blown, mold-blown, engraved. (a) Large straight-sided conical bowl with rounded base; engraved matte band at the rim with zig-zag line below; engraved oval panel on the side, with male portrait, facing sinister, inscribed "KEISER. CAROLVS. VI."; crown above, fronds at either side; on the reverse a trophy of arms, with elaborate geometric motifs at either side; engraved stylized foliage at the bottom; two mereses above a stem composed of a hollow, molded octagonal knop, a capstan, a hollow molded octagonal pedestal, a merese, disk, and capstan; large circular foot with four engraved floral sprays on top; folded rim, rough pontil mark. (b) Domed form, with folded rim and inset brim; engraved band of stylized foliage; finial matching the molded features of the stem on (a), ending in a small ball knop; rough pontil mark inside.
