Physical DescriptionColorless non-lead glass; blown, mold-blown, engraved, diamond point engraving. (a) Round funnel bowl; engraved band of flowers and dots below the rim; engraved imperial crowned eagle bearing a shield on its breast, with heraldic eagle and coat of arms, laurel fronds at either side, tied with a ribbon below; on the reverse, engraved gothic letter monogram "GL", with oak sprays at either side, and inscribed "Weihnachten/1900" with light diamond-point scrollwork; stem with three disks above a hollow inverted baluster with engraved band of flowers and dots, two disks, another similar inverted baluster, and three disks at the base; domed foot with engraved foliate band; polished pontil mark. (b) Domed form with engraved foliate band; rounded shoulder, with molded bulbous rib below, and tapered brim; engraved band of flowers and dots on the shoulder; ground rim; hollow pointed ovoid finial with flat top, engraved flowers and dots; on three disks; no pontil mark.
